Microsoft introduces new features of Teams to enhance the interactive experience online

7/22/2020

Microsoft has just announced new features on Microsoft Teams to bring the best interactive experience for users to a future of new normal.

Engage users and minimize the fatigue that comes from online meetings

Together mode: Microsoft Teams uses AI segmentation technology to place all meeting participants in a shared digital space, creating the feeling that everyone is in the same classroom or class. With this mode, meetings will become more attractive, making it easier for users to see important body language when interacting with people. This mode will officially be available in August this year.

Dynamic View: This feature builds on improvements announced last month, allowing users to customize the display on their screens, including sharing screens, and displaying images of other users.

Video filters: Users can make video customizations such as lighting and focus before joining an online meeting.

Upgrade poll in a message: This feature will be available over the next few weeks. It allows users to ask questions in the form of polls, which can be anonymized to quickly find other users' opinions on a topic.

Bringing together a connection and effectiveness for each meeting to the team and student

Live reactions: Allows users to release emotions during meetings through emojis.

Chat bubbles: Allows the chat portion of the meeting to display notifications on the screen of the participants in the meeting, helping members not to miss important conversations that take place in the chat window of that meeting.

Automatically identify and add presenter names when adjusting translation mode and subtitles: Helps participants easily identify who is presenting and monitoring the content, even with other languages.

Increasing the number of people attending the meeting to 1,000: Microsoft Teams meetings can now support 1,000 participants, and up to 20,000 participants to watch a presentation or discussion.

Update Microsoft Whiteboard: Whiteboards in Microsoft Teams will soon be updated with new features such as faster loading times, sticky notes, text, and drag and drop capabilities. These will allow non-touchscreen team members to participate in meetings using Whiteboard.

Help streamline work and save time

Tasks app: Provides a unified view of tasks on Microsoft To-Do, Planner, and Outlook, whether users are on desktop, web, or mobile.

Answer suggestions: With AI, Teams chats will offer pre-made answers to create short feedback based on the context of the previous message. This feature will be released this month.

Airless meeting experience: Allows connection with Teams devices/meeting rooms from which to control, customize these devices on their own personal devices, restricting the need to touch shared devices in the meeting room.
